Lacee Strachan, RN, BSN

I am a native Michigander  (Go MSU!) and transplanted to the Raleigh area ten years ago with my husband.  I have been working in healthcare for the last 18 years in a variety of settings, including family medicine, gastroenterology, and pediatrics.  I had the privilege of working alongside Dr. Shannon Scholl as a medical assistant shortly after moving to North Carolina and spent a wonderful five years assisting her with patient care while I completed nursing school.  Upon graduation, I left the group practice with Dr. Scholl and transitioned to the bedside in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  There, I have spent five years working with complex, premature babies and their families.  When Dr. Scholl asked me to join her in her newest endeavor, it was an easy “yes” for me.  I am looking forward to helping her take care of you and your GI needs – without the hassle of insurance companies telling us how to do our job.  I’ve dreamed of someday taking care of patients the way I want to take care of them – providing them what they need when they need it, getting to know them and what makes them happy, and providing empathetic, compassionate care with no rules dictating how to do it. I am excited to meet you and your family and see how we can help you.  I know that Dr. Scholl is going to take such great care of her patients and I’m honored to help her.

My husband and I live in the Raleigh area and love living in the South!  My other full time job is raising two amazing boys – Keith (5) and Myles (3).
